LUNEX is a University of Applied Sciences based in Differdange (Luxembourg), which opened its doors for students in April 2016. It is a private higher education institution with to-date 36 academic and 17 administrative members of staff and counts of total of 14 different nationalities among its staff. 

It currently runs five bachelor’s degree programmes, namely Bachelor in Exercise & Sport Science, Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in International Sport Management, Bachelor in Nutrition, Fitness and Health and Bachelor in Corportate Health Management and Well-being; and three Master programmes in Sport & Exercise Science, in Physiotherapy and in Sport Management and Digitalisation. Three respective departments are managing the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and all classes are taught in English. There are currently more than 1000 students enrolled across the degrees at LUNEX. LUNEX is accredited in Luxembourg by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education and was successfully approved for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in October 2018.

LUNEX aims to be an internationally recognized European Hub for the Sciences and Management in Health and Sports and to contribute innovative research that is relevant to human health, human performance and the social, economic and cultural needs of society. Its mission is to provide students with a transformative, high quality, evidence-based educational experience in the field of health, sport and management. Values are central to the quality of the LUNEX experience: inspiration, innovation, integration, introspection and interaction. LUNEX believes that providing a supportive, challenging and inspiring learning environment with strong values helps students to be motivated, to grow and to succeed, professionally and personally in order to gain valuable employability skills.

LUNEX has strong partnerships with the Ministries of Higher Education and Research, of Sport, and of Health, as well as key stakeholders in Luxembourg and beyond such as the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee, the National Institute for Sports and Physical Education, Luxembourg Sport Federations and Clubs, as well as schools in Luxembourg.
